Background

Mike is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in Missouri and has been for 21 years. Mike graduated from Friends University in 1999 with a Master of Science in Family Therapy. Mike’s therapeutic approach focuses on achieving success in small steps to ensure the person feels positive about the interventions and is motivated to continue working toward change. This requires a supportive relationship and experience with the problems people with neurological disorders encounter. Mike’s down to earth, upbeat attitude exudes positive energy that clients respond to. He has been working with children/adolescents/adults with neurological disorders since 2003.

Working with schools is a vital part of educating our community and our nation about these neurological disorders. It is important to present tangible, realistic, and manageable goals for school districts to implement. Mike has had experience in presenting to teachers, school counselors, school psychologists, and administrators to help them in planning and working with these children.
